Governance

The San Antonio Area HIV Health Services Planning Council’s governance (structure and processes to ensure accountability and transparency) is outlined in its Bylaws. As required by the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act of 1990 (Public Law No. 101-381), later revised as the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Public Law No. 109-415), requires the establishment of a Planning Council.  The law also requires Planning Councils to establish Bylaws or operating procedures.
